Abstract: | Alternative Binary Offset Modulation (AltBOC) has already been in use in the E5 band of Galileo system and proved to be a feasible solution to dual-frequency envelop multiplexing in the wide Aeronautical Radio Navigation Service (ARNS) band. Beidou system also plans to provide similar services (B2a plus B2b) as Galileo in this band. According to published literatures, besides AltBOC, Asymmetric Constant Envelop (ACE-BOC) and Time Division AltBOC (TD-AltBOC) can also be solutions for Beidou system in the band. In this paper, the major differences of the three multiplexing techniques are illustrated and their impacts on receiver’s performance are analyzed and compared from users’ perspective. |
