Research on Key Techniques for Miniaturization of a RLG

Ludi Zheng., Quanan Tang, Yanshen Zhang

Abstract: For evaluating the performance of a RLG, a test facility with high precision was established and on it extensive tests were conducted. As shown by the test results, the test facility can ensure the test accuracy of gyros for inertial navigation. The possibility of miniaturization of a E&G is discussed. A 4X readout circuit was designed, fabricated and tested with the RLG. High frequency sampling of the RLG output was experimented for introducing the technique of digital signal processing(DSP). These techniques are expected to be used for a miniaturized RLG.
