Abstract: | The software radio concept is defined and the advantages of such an implementation are given. A direct digitization front end implementation, a key component in the software radio, for a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver is presented along with experimental results. A novel technique of bandpass sampling of multiple signals is examined in detail for GPS and GLONASS transmissions. Lastly, a description of a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) software radio development testbed is provided. |
