Low-cost Single-frequency GPS/GLONASS RTK for Road Users

S. Carcanague, O. Julien, W. Vigneau, C. Macabiau

Abstract: Real-time Kinematic technique is classically performed on geodetic, i.e. expensive, receivers in clear-sky environment. This paper proposes to investigate the challenges related to applying RTK algorithms on measurements from a low-cost equipment in environments typically encountered by a road user. A solution is proposed and described, taking into account the expected lower measurement quality. This solution is tested using real-data from 2 data collections and its performance is discussed.
