Abstract: NICT in Japan has developed an all-optical link based on an optical carrier transfer system for direct comparison of two distant optical clocks. The frequencies of two Sr optical lattice clocks independently developed at NICT and the University of Tokyo were directly compared using this system and their consistency was confirmed at the 10-16 level.
