An Uncoupled Autocalibration of the Gyro Error Model in a Platform

Abstract: In autocalibration of the azimuth strap- down inertial platform. the weighting measurement angle method used the attitude sensor and the accelerometer on the platform is proposed to improve the creditability of the measuring angle. To avoid the disturbance between the scale factors of the gyro’s torque generators and the drift error coefficients of the gyro. an uncoupled method is presented. Applying adaptive Kalman filter estimates the error model of the gyro in the platform. The test results show the auto calibration method is feasible and the calibrated practical measuring accuracy meets the index need of the tactical missile.
