New Expressions for the Autocorrelation Function of BOC GNSS Signals

Abstract: In this paper we develop exact expressions for the autocorrelation function of a class of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) signals based on Binary Offset Carrier (BOC) modulations. The results are derived using a common methodology and will be useful for simulation purposes and in GNSS receiver design and evaluation. The expressions concern modulations BOCs(pn, n), BOCc(pn, n), MBOC(6, 1, 1/11) data and pilot signals, and AltBOC (15, 10) with constant and non-constant envelope. These modulations will be used in Galileo and modernized GPS.
