Tracking Multipath in Received GNSS Signals through use of a Signal Decomposition and Parameterization Algorithm

Abstract: The Signal Decomposition and Parameterization Algorithm (SDPA) is used to obtain direct path and multipath ray waveform parameters from segments of received and simulated GNSS signals. The outputs of these parameters are to be used in the construction of models that replicate what can be expected from a challenging environment in the proximity of a GNSS receiver. In order to construct these models, the algorithm in conjuction with a multi-target tracking framework may be used. This paper outlines research into the feasibility of SDPA in obtaining ray waveform parameters that are suitable for use in a tracking framework. SDPA is shown to be suitable in obtaining these parameters for tracking.
