OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A MICROWAVE LANDING SYSTEM

Abstract: A brief description of the glide slope, localizer; and aircraft equipment comprising the Microwave Landing System is given. The operational requirements of a radio landing system as set forth by ICAO are presented and the operation of the Microwave Landing System is compared with these requirements. Typical manual and automatic flight recordings are shown and discussed.
