REVISING THE NAUTICAL ALMANAC

Samuel Herrick

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: In discussions on the possible revision of the American Nautical Almanac, as at the June meeting of the Institute, a great deal of interest is certain to be focused on such questions as: (1) how the Greenwich hour angle is to be obtained; (2) where best to put the annoying conversion of time to arc; (3) possible combination with the American Air Almanac; and (4) the form and location of the correction tables.
