AMERICAN NAUTICAL ALMANAC

L. J. Comrie

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: These notes are written from the point of view of an ex-professional almanac maker who has always considered sympathetically the needs of almanac users. At the same time it is fatal to obstruct progress by being deterred by the lamentations of those old sea dogs who ,cannot learn new tricks. If their loud voices were to rule the day, enterprise and initiative might as well be abandoned.
