Abstract: | In this paper it is assumed that the navigator understands what is usually included in Nautical Astronomy and is able to use a star finder, the almanac and tables so as to obtain a satisfactory fix from sextant observations. It is with facts of astronomy beyond or beside these minimum essentials that this paper concerns itself. |
