| Abstract: | INTRODUCTION Navigation as an art and science has a vast history. Many men have devoted their lives to improving techniques, equipment, and general knowledge of the subject, and always they have been striving for greater accuracy and greater speed of solution. At the present moment many men are actively fixing their positions, while others are developing the aids they will use tomorrow. Great sums of money are being channeled into navigational research, and the wealth of.the world is being converted into vehicles that a navigator must guide home. |
