Abstract: | In covering briefly some of the operations of Search and Rescue; Ocean Stations; Merchant the Coast Guard which render service to navigation, I have selected four activities: Marine Safety; and Aids to Navigation. The United States Coast Guard is charged with the primary responsibility to “develop, establish, maintain, and operate, with due regard to the requirements of national defense, rescue facilities for the promotion of safety on and over the high seas and waters subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.” |
