Abstract: | Communications are not directly navigation; nevertheless, they are an important adjunct. Departure and arrival messages, and estimated time of arrival, are certainly useful. We have a responsibility for rcscarch, development, procurement, distribution, and maintenance of electronic navigating devices. After the transfer of the Army Transports to operation by the Navy, there will be a residual number of other vessels with which we will still be concerned. |
