Abstract: | For the first time in the centuries-old history of Switzerland, Swiss citizens have been granted licenses to serve as Flight Navigators on aircraft owned and operated by Swiss nationals. On March 1, 2, and 3, of 1949, after 7 months of intensive theoretical and practical instruction and training, five employees of Swiss Air Lines successfully completed a written examination given by the Swiss Federal Office of Aviation for Flight Navigator licenses. |
