Abstract: | With the publication of Volumes II and III of "Sight Reduction Tables" (H.O. 249),l the Hydrographic Office has completed an ambitious project as important to air navigation in its way as the introduction of the Air Almanac 14 years ago. The significance of these new tables is to be found not so much in their novelty as it is in the fact that they represent the first major American effort to gather into one comprehensive but compact form all the celestial computation tables needed by the flight navigator. |
