RADIO AIDS TO NAVIGATION

Lieutenant A. G. Watson

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: The term Radio Aids to Navigation embraces all position fixing systems, radio direction finding and Radar, both ashore and afloat. The two systems under discussion in this paper are long range aids to ocean navigation. It is essential that the word Aids be stressed, as these systems are merely aids to the present navigational methods and not new methods of navigation.
