ATMOSPHERIC REFRACTION AT LOW ANGULAR ALTITUDES IN THE POLAR REGIONS

Charles H. Smiley

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: This paper is the final one of a series of three on atmospheric refraction at low angular altitudes as observed from near sea level. The two previous papers [1, 21 may be consulted for details as to the observing techniques and the mathematical reductions. The emphasis here will be on results, and a brief comparison of them with Bessel’s tables.
