ATMOSPHERIC REFRACTION AT LOW ANGULAR ALTITUDES IN THE TEMPERATE ZONES

Charles H. Smiley

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: This paper is the second of a series of three on the general subject of atmospheric refraction at low angular altitudes; the first (1) was based on data gathered in the tropics and the third will rest on data from the polar regions. The reader is referred to the first paper for a description of the observing meth ods and the mathematical treatment of the observations.
