Abstract: | Andre Jubelin was a veteran naval officer and an occasional flyer before his orderly world collapsed with the fall of France in June 1940. But Jubelin was no ordinary military man, and with the help of two companions and a "borro1ved" training plane which was refueled in flight by means of a hair-raising climb to the tank inlet on the roof of the cockpit he escaped from internment In Saigon to the freedom of British Malaya, 700 miles across the Gulf of Siam. |
