SOME NAVIGATION PROBLEMS AT A GUIDED MISSILE RANGE

G. L. Elliott and R. Weller

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: The guided missile business is relatively new compared to the science of navigation although recent electronic aids to navigation are more sophisticated than a simple magnetic compass. Because missiles are new, the measurement of their behavior has not yet become completely standardized; however, the process of testing missiles is becoming progressively clearer. The purpose of this paper is to outline some of the aspects -of guided missile range operation which are related to navigation.
