DECTRA AND DELRAC LONG RANGE NAVIGATION AIDS

Harvey Schwarz

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: I should first like to emphasize that both these systems are the result of serious study over about seven years. The data on which the Dectra system is based are most comprehensive. I don’t think anyone would deny that the trials carried out on the Decca System by various departments of the British, Dutch, Danish, French, and Swedish Governments, together with our own investigations and records constitute a most complete evaluation of the possibilities of using frequencies of the order of 100 Kcs for both short and long range navigation.
