THE USE OF DIGITAL COMPUTERS IN AIR NAVIGATION

E. M. Grabbe

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: Electronic digital computers have been widely publicized as "giant brains" during the past few years. Popular articles on this subject tend to be somewhat sensational in describing how the electronic digital devices will take over much of the clerical work in business today, run automatic factories, and help top executives make decisions. While much of this publicity is concerned with things yet to come, developments in the field of electronic computers are progressing rapidly. Many large scale computers working at electronic speeds are busy day and night solving scientific, engineering, and business problems.
