Abstract:	This is the year that the simulated flight industry celebrates its silver anniversary, and it also marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the first Link Trainer. In commemoration of this event, Edwin A. Link, Chairman of the Board of Link Aviation, and President of The Institute of Navigation, received the Air Force’s Exceptional Service Award on February 3, 1954, from Secretary of the Air Force, Harold E. Talbott.
