FLIGHT TESTS IN COLLISION PREVENTION

Richard Y. Miner

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: This paper has one point to make. An effective solution to the aircraft collision problem is available whenever we wish to appropriate the money. The paper will show how I approached the problem, how I combined an analytical and experimental investigation, and how a solution roughed itself out. I think it will show that the political risks warrant public rather than private investment. I should like especially to thank the Federal Communications Commission for their cooperation. I also wish to thank Trans World Airlines, the Flight Engineers International Association, and the Arma Division of American Bosch Arma Corporation.
