Abstract: The Space Navigation Committee of The Institute of Navigation is sponsoring a colloquium on astrodynamics, which meets in southern California every third Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The first meeting was held June 20 and the second July 11. Papers are limited to an hour-and-a-quarter, the remaining time being devoted to formal and informal discussion and refreshment. The initial meetings are being held in U.C.L.A.‘s new Mathematical Sciences Building (recognizable by the astronomical domes on the roof) in rooms 6221 and 6229, but it is expected that other meeting places will be found to rotate problems of travel and incidental expenses.
