Abstract:	A detailed description of the applications of the Dead Reckoning Tracer for which it was developed by the United States Navy Bureau of Aeronautics falls under security restrictions. However, from a news item by A.E. Talbert in the New York Herald Tribune of March 11, 1956 cleared by the Navy for publication the following is quoted:
