Abstract: The Air Photographic and Charting Service at Orlando Air Force Base, Florida, has three primary functions: The production of Air Force motion pictures, the construction and world-wide distribution of aeronautical charts and pilots’ information for the United States Air Force, and aerial surveying, including both conventional aerial mapping photography and aerial electronic surveying employing the hiran method. This paper discusses the last function, aerial electronic surveying.
