Specifically, I was assigned to instruct and train Argentine Hydrographic officers in the observation and data reduction procedure of establishing astronomic positions with a theodolite on ice under circumstances of being transported to remote points from a self-sustaining antarctic base. Instruction and training in establishing astronomic positions with a zenith camera in Tierra Del Fuego at the conclusion of the expedition were also included.
