Abstract: | EXPERIMENTAL OBSERVATION of space vehicles offers an interesting field for learning and sport. It explores a new field of navigation, of unknown future. It offers association with one of man’s greatest steps in achievement and adventure. Our National Aeronautics and Space Agency has announced plans for many launchings of large satellites, some to precede the publication of this paper. And we soon may wish to watch the first human explorers of space as they pass by. A person who begins from mere curiosity may soon find himself in the position of a contributor. Also, unless navigators participate soon they will find themselves set up with statute miles and kilometers, but no nautical miles and knots. |
