Abstract: | This paper describes in a general way some of the potentials of astro guidance. As an example of the new tools which are becoming available for celestial navigation, an automatic astro compass is described. The general purpose of the paper is to indicate some of the navigational techniques made feasible by more automatic equipment, and to stimulate greater interest in this art for basic terrestrial and interplanetary navigation. |
