THE FAR SIDE PROGRAM
| Abstract: | I consider it a distinct honor to have been asked to present to the members of this distinguished organization a discussion of Project Far Side. The Far Side rocket vehicle was designed, developed, fabricated and fired within a period of less than one year. The program, sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, was carried out on an unusually economical basis and resulted, I believe, in a number of important firsts in the field of rockets. |
