SATIN: SAGE-AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL INTEGRATION

David R. Israel

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: The remarkable growth in both the numbers and performance of aircraft over the past 15 years has challenged our ability to police or manage the airspace over the continental U.S. Air traffic control and air defense represent two aspects of this one problem. In spite of the overlapping of the requirements of these two functions, we have attempted to improve each one independently over the past decade.
