Abstract:	Notice to Mariners is a weekly publication of the U.S. Navy Hydrographic Office and is published under authority of the Secretary of the Navy. U.S. Code, title 10, section 7391 states that it is published "for the improvement of the means for navigating safely the vessels of the Navy and of the illercantile Marine" and "(for the benefit of navigators generally." It is particularly designed for the correction aboard ship of charts, Sailing Directions, Light Lists, and other publications.
