Abstract: | THE PROBLEM IS TO expedite the flow of air traffic while reducing the risk of collision. In low density areas the problem is simply to prevent collisions. The ultimate ideal objective is to have full area control so that no airclraft can penetrate the cube of airspace occupied by any other aircraft until that cube is empty. This is a long way off in time although it is being approached under IFR along the airways. |
