MINIMUM NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR SUPERSONIC AIRCRAFT

Maj. James P. Zwayer

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: I have one objective, and only one objective, in this symposium. That objective is to "keep your feet on the ground." In oru age of rapid technological advances we are continuously being bombarded with challenges to extend our imagination, to expand our dream, put our heads in the clouds. I'd like to bring your feet back on the ground. If we are to make a contribution to this Sympsium we must be certain that each of us has a good understanding of teh navigational problem, and that we all use the same yardstick for measurement. The dictionary describes navigation as "the art of ascertainign the position and directing the course of aircraft in flight."
