MINIMAL LONG-RANGE OVER-WATER FLIGHT PLANNING

Abstract:	A LONG-RANGE flight planning method, particularly useful in areas where very little meteorological data are available, is discussed. The simple mechanical procedure described yielded excelletn results when used experimentally for a number of years on routes between the U.S. Pacific Coast and Japan.
