Abstract:	THIS PAPER explores three general areas:(1) fundamental navigation and ATC requirements for supersonic transports of the 1970s (2) capabilities and limitations of present and proposed navigation systems for supersonic transports and (3) equipment design criteria applicable to any navigation system proposed for airline use in supersonic transport aircraft.
