NAVIGATION SYSTEM TERMS AND CHARACTERISTICS, AND A REVIEW OF EXISTING STANDARDS

Abstract: MANY CONFERENCES schedule, early in the program, a paper on a mathematical model of an air traffic control system, a navigation system, or perhaps a collision probability model. I am here to combat this custom by the simple expedient of presenting a model of my own. I wish that I could fulfill all your needs for models for years to come, but I won’t make any such claim. On the other hand, I hope to present in simple form a relationship among some of the variables of navigation and traffic control systems which may at least prove useful for this conference.
