SOME APPLICATIONS OF WEATHER SATELLITES TO MARINE NAVIGATION

Abstract: During the past four and a half years an evolution has been taking place witin the meteorological community. A complete new concept of meteorological observation has been developed from the use of data from the highly successful TIROS seris of weather satellites. The program to date has been one of research and development with the Weather Bureau making the meteorological evaluation.
