Abstract: THIS PAPER REVIEWS the rapid build-up of the air transport fleet and points out the problem of increasing congestion. Airline desires are predicted for both short and long range navigation facilities for subsonic and SST aircraft. Considerable improvement in the flow of long range air traffic is projected through the use of satellites.
