DOPPLER MEMORY MODE CONSIDERATIONS

Robert H. Mayer

Peer Reviewed

Abstract: THIS PAPER SUGGESTS that the calculated ground speed and drift angle displayed, when a doppler system is forced into the memory mode of operation by poor return signals, should be scrutinized by the operating personnel. Reasons for possible errors are given and suggested operating procedures to minimize their effects are presented.
