MAN-MACHINE CONSIDERATIONS IN SYSTEM DESIGN FOR ALL-WEATHER, LOW-LEVEL NAVIGATION

Abstract: THIS PAPER IS CONCERNED with man-machine considerations in system design for low-level navigation. In particular, computer generation of command information and visual display presentation are described. Simulated results are presented which indicate that the pilot’s ability to fly on a given route is improved with the roll command display.
