OMEGA AMBIGUITY RESOLUTION THROUGH DIRECT INTEGER LANING

Abstract: In multi-frequency Omega navigation systems, it is desirable to have the wide lanes of the beat frequency without sacrificing the higher resolution of the original frequencies. Many schemes are available for doing this such as operation on difference frequencies until the system is within a small lane and then switching to the original frequency. Also, a number of ambiguous solutions can be carried and the ambiguity resolved later on. Such a method is outlined in Ref. (1).
