Abstract: The basis for establishing the fundamental mathematical error models associated with measurements of the Global Positioning System (GPS) signals by various types of user equipments is provided in this paper. The GPS user equipment error models which are described are intended to be utilized for various system performance and mission effectiveness analyses.
