Abstract: With the proposed of Comprehensive RDSS (CRDSS), it is in dire need of a new navigation receiver chip which comprises of Radio Navigation Satellite System (RNSS) and Radio Determination Satellite Service (RDSS) to obtain the benefits of CRDSS. The addition of RDSS (Beidou-I) capability can improve the reliability of position solutions. This paper shows the design of world's first CRDSS-compatible single chip MXT3012. Compared with other commercial multi-constellation receivers, it can not only provide high performance, but also possess communication ability thanks to the Mobile Satellite Service (MSS) that realized by the built-in RDSS system. Furthermore, it can compromise multimedia technique as 2D/3D graphics engine, JPEG and video encoder/decoder for the terminal equipment that needs high graphic performance.
