Abstract: The performance of the GPS antenna has a great effect on the accuracy and precision of the data that is is obtained. This effect is often ignored and misunderstood. This paper present anechoic chamber measurements of the most important performance characteristics of eight models and configurations of GPS user antennas, and explores the effect of these characteristics on the data collected.
