Design and Initialization of Virtual Satellite Constellation Based on Global Emergency Relocation

Rapid Emergency Revisit Constellation is an important application of space fast response technology. It has a very important position in global rapid response to sudden disaster remote sensing, maritime lost target searching, positioning and other global rapid response. At the same time, it has a high application value in the military and civilian aspects.
Virtual satellites are composed of several small satellites which are coordinated by the synergistic strategy and complete a big satellite mission by cooperation with each other. The virtual satellite constellation is a constellation which is composed of a number of such virtual satellites. Emergency revisit constellation configuration, the application model of each member star, and formation initialization are the key technologies of virtual satellite constellation design. This paper focuses on the application model of virtual satellites. Four application modes are designed based on the different types of virtual satellites: "Large-scale census-guided detailed investigation mode", "Multi-load key target cooperative detection mode", "Multi-target decentralized monitoring mode", and "Fixed target relay tracking mode ". At the same time, the virtual satellite formation initialization strategy is studied in this paper.
Finally, the experimental results show that the proposed constellation is correct and optimal, and the virtual satellite formation initialization method is stable and effective.
