The Institute of Navigation (ION) is excited to announce a revision in the dates for the Pacific Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) 2024 conference. The conference will now take place from April 15–18, 2024, at the Hilton Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii.
This adjustment has been made to accommodate the addition of a plenary session on the evening of Monday, April 15, 2024. Professor Richard Gill, a leading expert in Conservation Biology from Brigham Young University (BYU), will present the keynote "Mauka to Makai: Insights from a Decade of Collaboration with Native Hawaiian Groups to Conserve Hawaii's Mountains and Reefs." Additionally, Amber Imai-Hong, affiliated with the Hawaii Space Flight Laboratory at the University of Hawaii, will deliver a keynote on "Hawaii’s Satellite and Remote Sensing Instrumentation and Testing."
ION’s biennial Pacific PNT conference serves as a prominent platform for the global cooperative development of positioning, navigation, and timing technology and applications. Policy and technical leaders from Pacific Rim nations will convene to discuss policy updates, receive program status updates, and exchange crucial technical information.
The Pacific PNT 2024 technical program will encompass a wide range of topics, including inertial navigation technology and applications, challenging navigation problems, and space navigation technologies. Special sessions will delve into BeiDou, COSMIC/FORMOSAT, and QZSS. For detailed technical program information, please visit www.ion.org/pnt/program.cfm.
Registration to attend the event is now open at: www.ion.org/pnt/registration.cfm and will be held in person only. Virtual attendance options will not be available.
